Undergraduate Valedictory Speaker Named for May Commencement Ceremony

Wesley Chai was born in Gainesville, Florida and is the second oldest of three boys born to Un-Chin and Chiao-Hsin. Before returning to the United States for higher education at HPU, he was raised mostly in Taiwan and Singapore. In addition to his major, he worked toward his passion to write by minoring in writing and publishing his pieces in Fresh Perspectives and Wanderlust. During his time at HPU, Chai has been a University Scholar and a tutor (Chinese, Writing, and Mathematics) at the Center for Academic Success. He was also the Chief Justice of the Student Judicial Council in the Student Government Association; President of the Taiwanese Student Association; President of the Criminal Justice Club; Treasurer of Sigma Tau Delta; and member of Alpha Lambda Delta, Kappa Mu Epsilon, and Alpha Chi. His post-undergraduate plan is to attend law school and attain the Juris Doctor degree.
