Alumna pursuing Ph.D. earns NOAA scholarship
Andrea Kealoha (MS in Marine Science ’14) was one of two students selected for the Dr. Nancy Foster Scholarship funded by NOAA. Kealoha is at Texas A&M University pursuing her doctorate in oceanography with a focus on coral reef health in response to ocean acidification.
BSN alumna earns PhD
Avis Ing-Randolph (BSN ’07), Ph.D., successfully defended her dissertation and earned her doctorate — Nursing Research-Quantitative — from UCLA in May. The title of her dissertation is “Effect of a Group Music Nursing Intervention on Anxiety among Individuals with Mild to Moderate Dementia in Los Angeles Assisted Living Facilities.”
