The Teach and Learn in Korea program welcomes native English speakers to lead after-school English classes at a public elementary school in a rural part of South Korea for 15 hours a week. Scholars have the freedom to create their own lesson plans and have plenty of time to engage in culturally-edifying activities. Join over 2,000 scholars who have been through this unique teaching and service-learning scholarship program and make a meaningful contribution to the international community. Bachelor's degree candidates who have completed at least two years of undergraduate education are welcome to apply. 
  • Accommodation (free, single, furnished housing)
  • Entrance & Exit allowances 
  • Co-scholar (Korean university student) 
  • Cultural field trips 
  • Medical insurance coverage
  • Monthly stipend: KRW 1.5 million (About $1,300) 
  • One-month orientation 
  • Settlement allowance: KRW 300,00 
  • Vacation leave
  • Citizens of Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, the United Kingdom and the U.S.
  • Korean citizens with permanent residency in one of the aforementioned countries; Korean citizens who have lived in one of the aforementioned countries as temporary residents for at least eight years and who have completed both primary and secondary education in that country
  • Be fluent and proficient in the English language

  • Bachelor's degree candidates who have completed at least two years of undergraduate education 
  • Associate's degree holders 
  • Recent graduates and graduate students 
  • Overseas Koreans in their firs or second year in college who qualify for the F-4 visa
