Graduate Valedictory Speaker Named for May Commencement Ceremony

Louis Hare III

Louis C. Hare III was born in Camden, South Carolina and is the youngest of three boys born to Louis and Ann Hare. After graduating from high school, he earned an appointment to the United States Military Academy, where he would later graduate with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Engineering Psychology with a concentration in Mechanical Engineering. Hare commissioned in the United States Army upon graduation, and continues to serves as an active duty officer. After a decade away from school, he decided to pursue a Master of Arts in Communications from HPU. Hare and his wife, Alexys (who is also graduating from HPU this spring), welcomed their son Desmond soon after. Louis enjoys sports, community service, youth development, and is a member of Lambda Pi Eta National Honor Society (Communications) and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Together, he and his family have enjoyed the culture, sights, and aloha of Hawai'i for the last four years, and look forward to new adventures. Upon graduation, Hare will transition to his next duty assignment in Leavenworth, Kansas.
