HPU hires Jeffrey Harris to Serve as Director of Marketing

HONOLULU — Hawai‘i Pacific University has hired Jeffrey Harris to serve as its Director of Marketing.

In this position, Mr. Harris will be responsible for the strategic marketing and brand management for the university. He was previously with Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam (JBPHH), where he was the Director of Marketing for the Navy and Air Force.

“We are excited to have Jeff lead HPU's marketing efforts as we continue to advance HPU's ambitious plans,” said Sam Moku, HPU's Vice President for University Relations.

Mr. Harris has a Bachelor of Science degree in Advertising and Communication from the S.I. Newhouse School at Syracuse University, and also earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Hawai’i Pacific University.

Prior to joining HPU, Mr. Harris was responsible for developing the marketing strategy for a diverse group of programs and activities at JBPHH, ranging from housing and lodging to recreation and special events. He developed a holistic marketing approach that was responsible for research, planning, development and implementation of marketing across 14 departments.

This Fall, as HPU celebrates its 50th anniversary, the university will open the revitalized Aloha Tower Marketplace, including its Waterfront Loft student residences, learning facilities, gathering places for the university and the community, and a variety of retail spaces.
