Military Times’ Best for Vets: Business Schools

HONOLULU — The College of Business at Hawai‘i Pacific University ranks among Top 50 business schools for veterans, according the Military Times.

“The College of Business is proud to be selected by the ‘Best for Vets’ for our graduate programs serving veterans and military professionals,” said Dr. Deborah Crown, Dean of the HPU College of Business. “We appreciate and recognize the contributions veterans have made for our country, and are committed to providing high-quality graduate programs within the College of Business that applaud their service and build on the legacy of Hawai‘i Pacific University as a military-friendly institution. This ranking shows that we are delivering the results we were after: meaningful programs that offer our vets the education they want, delivered in a way that fits their lives.”

The College of Business at HPU ranked 41st in the organization’s Best for Vets: Business Schools 2015 rankings, which focuses on veteran culture and curriculum, cost in the context of military and veteran benefits, overall veteran policies, and publicly available quality measures. It is the only Hawaii school to make the list.

The Military Times — made up of Army Times, Navy Times, Air Force Times and Marine Corps Times — focused on culture and curriculum that cater to military veterans. This is the third annual Best for Vets: Business Schools survey, a highly respected, nearly 80-question analysis of a school’s complete offerings for veterans.

The College of Business’ newly launched MBA options allow veterans and other military-affiliated professionals to take a blend of courses on local military bases, online, and in the heart of Honolulu’s Downtown business community. This represents an unrivaled opportunity for veterans wanting to establish or build connections with business.

The HPU College of Business’ Masters’ Degrees in Information Systems, Human Resource Management, and Organizational Change also welcome veterans who are transitioning into the private sector and building knowledge and skills to use within the military supply chain, the second largest industry in Hawaii.
