HPU Presents 13th Annual Winter Concert 'Glory!'

November 17, 2014

HONOLULU —  Join the Hawai‘i Pacific University International Vocal Ensemble, Chorale, Band, Symphony and Chamber Orchestra as they present the 13th Annual Winter Concert, “Glory!” The musical performance will be held on Friday, Nov. 21, 7 p.m., at Central Union Church on the corner of Beretania and Punahou streets.

“With all the HPU music performing groups on a single concert, you get to hear the very best of what students have been working on all semester,” said Dr. Teresa McCreary, Director of Performing Arts. “We are excited to present an orchestral arrangement of the United States national anthem, by beloved film score composer John Williams.”

The year 2014 is the 200th anniversary of the national anthem, so this concert will feature rousing renditions of patriotic music, as well as music from around the globe, in addition to a few holiday favorites. There will be free admission and plenty of parking.
