Tsunami Warning Downgraded to Advisory

Update: Hawaii's Governor Neil Ambercrobie has stated the tsunami warning has been downgraded to an advisory.

8:30 PM-A tsunami warning is in effect for all Hawaiian islands.

According to the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center, the first wave is expected to arrive at 10:28 p.m. (HST).

The tsunami warning comes after a 7.7 magnitude earthquake struck the Queen Charlotte Islands region at 5:04 p.m. (HST).

Anyone in a tsunami evacuation zone is urged to evacuate. Anyone who is not in a zone is urged to stay off of the road and away from the shoreline.
