Individual Development Soccer Camp

February 16, 2013 10:00 AM - February 17, 2013 01:00 PM

Location: Hawaii Loa Campus Atherton Field

Event Type: Athletics

Hawai‘i Pacific University's Individual Development Soccer Camp includes college program training methods, strength and conditioning training, and a seminar on college recruiting and admissions.

The camp will run from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. each day and costs $75 per camper for both days or $40 for one.

Chris Fisher, who recently completed his third season as the head coach at HPU, is the director of the program and will oversee the sessions. He has compiled a record of 35-16-3 -  including the 2011 PacWest Championship - during his tenure with the Sea Warriors.

“Our HPU ID Camp is a great way for high school student-athletes to get a taste of college soccer," Fisher explained. "They will have the opportunity to learn from and interact with our coaches and players. The camp also is a tool for aspiring soccer players to help choose a realistic college home that will fit their educational and athletic goals - all while they are developing their skills and having a good time."

During the camp, players will train and compete against other high school students as well as the camp staff. Competitive situations will be created for players to compete in 6v6 and 11v11 games.

Players will train with the purpose of developing a better understanding of the importance of individual attacking and defending, as well as intelligent possession games that emphasize speed of play and quick decision-making.

The HPU Individual Development Camp is ideal for a motivated player looking for personalized two-day training and education that simulates that of a high-level college soccer program.
