Q: How much is tuition?

Q: When are applications due?
A: HPU has a rolling admission process which means there are no set deadlines, and reviews applications throughout the year. The admissions committee will review a complete application when all documents have been received. In order to ensure adequate time for evaluation and correspondence, it is strongly recommended that applications be submitted early.
Q: How can I find out if my credits will transfer from my previous institution?

Q: How do I declare/change my major?
A: Review the Majors We Offer to find a degree program that meets your objectives and direct you to a specific field of study.  Consult with an academic advisor in order to make the official change to your records.

Q: How do I know if I’m taking the right courses for my degree?
A: Log into your HPU Pipeline account and check your Degree Plan online.  You are also encouraged to schedule an appointment with an academic advisor to create a graduation plan based on your degree requirements. Familiarize yourself with the new General Education Requirements if you began your studies in Fall 2008 or later. 

Q: How do I find courses being offered?
A: Course schedules are available online in a search or PDF format. Use the search to check for course prerequisites to ensure that you have the appropriate requirements. Register for classes online as soon as you become eligible-- don't wait until classes fill up! 

Q: When are the deadlines for… registration dates, add/drop dates, and tuition refund?
A: Check out our policy sheet

Q: How can I make changes to my course registration?
A: Use a Change in Registration (Add/Drop Form) to request changes, additions or drops, from your current registration.  Please check the Policies and Deadlines for Registration prior to submitting your request. 
Q: When do I get my grades?
A: Grades are usually available within two weeks from the closing of the term. All grades are available via HPU Pipeline.  Grades are held for students with past due account balances and/or registration holds.

Q: How do I order an official transcript?
A: Transcripts are available through the Registrar’s Office. Click here for instructions.

Q: How can I find a course syllabus or course description?
A: You can do a search in our course syllabi database or look in the Academic Catalog for brief course descriptions.

Q: How do I fill out a General Petition?
A: A General Petition form has multiple uses including but not limited to course overloads, degree requirement exceptions, and requesting a leave of absence.  Talk to your Academic Advisor for assistance in determining alternative options before submitting a form.
