Summer Programs at HPUAloha Summer Program for Visiting Students

Visiting university students may earn transfer credits while learning about Hawai'i's culture and delicate ecosystem in our three and six week summer programs.

Hawai'i Pacific University's Summer Study in Hawaii Program offers you the unique opportunity to live, learn, and interact with students from all over the world on the beautiful island of O'ahu. In addition to your field of study, you'll learn about Hawai'i's history and culture, while exploring the natural beauty and exciting recreation that Hawai'i has to offer. Students will participate in a variety of local activities and excursions around the island, while earning up to six credits towards their home institution. Choose to take up to two courses from the following programs:

  • Marine Science
  • Nursing
  • Pacific Studies
  • Diplomacy and Military Studies

If you are seeking financial aid to fund some or all of your HPU summer program, we encourage you to speak directly with the Financial Aid Office at your home institution.  Determination of grant aid or loan eligibility is based on funding and policy from your home institution.  You may discuss the availability of a "Consortium Agreement" with your home institution Financial Aid Office, as well as any other institutional aid for summer programs.  Transfer of federal aid, if approved by your home institution, requires approval of transfer credits for any summer coursework.  Be sure to speak with your academic advisor about any course(s) you wish to take with HPU.
