Military Campus Programs seeks to provide an effective and challenging education for all military service members, their families, and U.S. Government civilian personnel. We recognize their need for flexibility without sacrificing academic integrity in educational programs. We strive to maximize the potential for distance education as an alternative delivery mode to educate our students in an ever-changing global environment.

Military Campus Programs -Onbase and Online to serve the Military Community

Military Campus Programs offer accelerated, 10- week undergraduate and graduate courses, in the traditional classroom and online. Traditional classroom delivery is held on evenings and weekends. Online delivery of programs and courses is held in an asynchonous virtual environment. We offer accelerated course terms in the classroom in both three-week and five-week terms and online courses in accelerated five-week terms. Our base and virtual off-island campuses are full service campuses designed to serve the military community from admissions through graduation.

Degree Programs

Degree programs offered on base and online are designed to be nonsequential so that students may enter them at any point in the program. Students can earn Associate degrees, Baccalaureate degrees, and Graduate degrees online or in the classroom:

We provide a flexible alternative:

  • As a participant in the Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges (SOC) Degree Completion program, HPU evaluates college courses, CLEP or DANTES exams, MOS/Rate, Service, and more to maximize the award of transfer credit to military personnel.
  • HPU-Military Campus Programs schedules classes at Hickam AFB, MCBH Kane'ohe Bay, MCBH Camp Smith, Schofield Barracks, Pearl Harbor NS, Tripler  AMC and a virtual off-island student campus.  Occasionally, courses are scheduled at Sand Island.
  • Our on-base campuses offer four 10 week terms per year and three three-week terms.  Some military campuses also offer five-week terms.
  • Morning and evening classes are offered Monday through Sunday at many of these locations.
  • We have three online five week terms in addition to the 10 week online terms.
  • HPU is a partner with Navy College Program Distance Learning Partnership (NCPDLP) and GOArmyEd/eArmyU
HPU's flexible schedule options create an opportunity for students to complete an undergraduate degree in less than four years.

All miltary campus base offices and our virtual campus for off-island students are staffed with academic advisors who can answer questions regarding degree programs, evaluate transfer credits and documented work experience, and ensure that service members and other members of the military community are on the right track toward attaining their educational goals.
