Reference Resources & Research Services
Reference materials, which are non-circulating, include encyclopedias and dictionaries, handbooks, bibliographies, indexing and abstracting sources, news resources, biographical dictionaries, directories, demographic and statistical resources, atlases, and more.
HPU's librarians understand the appeal of acquiring reference information online, however students should remember that a large amount of quality reference resources is available in print format in the library. By visiting the reference service desk, librarians can help students locate the information they need regardless of what format (print or electronic) it is in.
Reference Librarians Provide...
- Information about the HPU Libraries and its services
- Answer general information questions
- Assist students in locating resources for class assignments and research projects
- Guidance in using online and print resources
- Suggestions for research topics and in-depth reference assistance
