After graduating with a 4.0 GPA in Sociology and Journalism, Alisa served as a reporter for the Honolulu Advertiser.

Her decision to pursue a Master of Education in Secondary Education grew out of her experiences at James Campbell High School in Honolulu.

"Hawaii Pacific University was a logical choice for me. The admissions department promptly returned my calls, met with me and answered all my questions."

Friends describe Alisa as always upbeat, organized and nurturing, a true pillar of her community. She currently serves on the neighborhood board for Ewa Beach.
