Honolulu is one of the most desirable cities to live in and one of the top tourist destinations in the world. Because of this, the housing market is very tight both on and off campus. We encourage you to secure housing as soon as possible. We offer a selection of accommodations as follows:
Residence Halls (On-Campus)
Hawai'i Pacific University offers residence halls on the windward Hawai'i Loa campus for students who enroll for both fall and spring semesters. On-Campus housing (rooms are shared by two or three students) is generally enjoyed by students in their first year of study.
On-Campus housing includes room and board (14 meals per week). Costs and reservation forms for the academic year can be found here.
The priority deadline for submitting the on-campus housing application was March 30, 2009. However, the Residence Life Office is still accepting applications for the 2009-2010 academic year. Allapplications received at this point will be placed on the on-campus housing waitlist.
For more information, visit HPU's On Campus Residence Halls, or e-mail to housing@hpu.edu.
Off-Campus Housing (Non-University Sponsored)
The HPU Center for Off-Campus Housing is available to assist you if you need information about off-campus housing options and/or prefer to arrange your own accommodations. If you are unfamiliar with the Honolulu area, our staff can provide information on what is available in the rental market and provide general advice about residential areas.
There are several housing options offered by Century Campus Housing Management, L.P. (CCHM), a national leader in privatized management of student housing. To find out what is available, visit their web site at www.hawaiistudenthousing.org.
Accommodation options include single rooms, rooms shared by two students (double occupancy), or rooms shared by three students (triple occupancy). Prices range from $600 to $900 per person, per month. All properties are located in Honolulu, close to the HPU downtown campus and Waikiki, and can be reached by bus.
