Hawai'i Pacific University offers several types of institutional graduate scholarships and assistantships to new, full-time, degree-seeking students. U.S. citizens, permanent residents and international students who have a demonstrated financial need may apply.
TYPES OF AWARDS

50 percent tuition waiver for two semesters (fall and spring only).(U.S. citizens and permanent residents) |
| Deans' Scholarship Program |
20 percent tuition waiver for one semester.(U.S. residents and permanent residents) |
| Graduate Assistantship |
50 percent tuition waiver for one semester. Requires a 10-hour per week work assignment. (U.S. residents, permanent residents and international students) |
| International Scholar Program |
20 percent to 50 percent tuition waiver. (International students) |
ELIGIBILITY AND CRITERIA
New, full-time degree-seeking students, who believe they have a financial need, may apply for institutional scholarships and assistantships. Other factors that may be considered when evaluating requests are:
- Previous academic record.
- Community involvement and service.
- Professional work experience and achievement.
SCHOLARSHIP AND ASSISTANTSHIP APPLICATION PROCESS
Priority consideration is given to those students who apply by the deadline. Applications received after the priority deadline will be awarded on a funds-available basis. You will be notified by mail as decisions are made should you apply for a graduate scholarship or assistantship. The type and value of the scholarship will be explained in the award letter if you are selected as a scholarship recipient.
