FAid UG Handbook 05.jpg The Hawai'i Pacific University Undergraduate Financial Aid Handbook is designed to augment the U.S Department of Education's Student Guide.  The 2009-2010 guide is now available online.  The 2010-2010 will be available Spring 2010.  You will need to read the information in this handbook and the Department of Education guide in order to understand what you need to know about your financial aid here at HPU.
Student Guide - English The Student Guide explains student financial aid programs the U.S. Department of Education's Federal Student Aid (FSA) office administers.

title_bullet.gif  Hawai'i Pacific University (HPU) administers an annual multi-million dollar financial aid program. This program can work for you in helping to defray the cost of your college education. All federal Title IV financial aid programs are available at the University. If you qualify on the basis of need, you can receive substantial assistance through grant, loan, and work-study programs.

Like other colleges and universities, HPU requires all students who wish to be considered for these federal programs to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which may be obtained from a high school counselor or any college financial aid office. However, the best way to file the FAFSA is on-line at www.fafsa.ed.gov.

*In order to have funds disbursed at the start of the 2010-2011 academic year, students must have all outstanding finanical aid requirements complete by July 1, 2010 and be enrolled in at least 6 credits for the Fall 2009 semester.  We will continue to process funds for all students who enroll and become complete after July 1st, but students to complete after July 1st may experience delays.  Loan processing times can run 4-6 weeks.  Please check your financial aid status on HPU Pipeline to call the Financial Aid Office with any questions.
