When I learned about the opportunity to study Marine Biology in Hawai‘i, I knew HPU was the place for me. I applied, and even received a 50% scholarship based on my high school grades and community involvement! The Japanese-speaking staff in the International Center made the transition to education in the United States very comfortable. Both at the college fair where I learned about HPU and in the home-office, the staff is available to assist me with everything and is always happy to answer any questions.
I am interested in marine mammal research, and HPU is the perfect place to study this. I get practical experience in my classes, and have the chance to work with the animals in their natural habitat.
