How often does one have this opportunity to interact with people from another country? At HPU we can have it everyday!
And the most wonderful is to see that the HPU international students interact not only in academics, but also in sports.
Hikaru came to HPU in Summer 2008, as a student in Travel Industry management (TIM) program, and joined HPU’s volleyball team. “It was exciting,” volleyball coach Daryl Kapis says, “as she is the first native born Japanese player to join HPU volleyball. We all hope that Hikaru is the first of many Japanese players that we will have in our HPU’s volleyball program in the near future.”
For Hikaru it is a win- win: On one hand, while training for volleyball games, she works on her communication skills, shares her culture and makes friends; on the other hand, Daryl says,” she brings great discipline and control to HPU team when it comes to passing and playing defense.”

영어실력 요구조건 (English Requirements)
| HPU는 대체로 입학 시 공인된 영어 시험 성적 (English Proficiency Test) 을 반드시 제출하도록 요구하지는 않지만, 모든 학생들은 아카데믹한 학위 프로그램을 시작할 때 영어 실력을 확인 받아야 합니다. HPU가 요구하는 영어 실력은 공인된 영어 시험 성적을 제출하거나, 본 대학에서 실시하는 영어 반편성 시험에서 "3" 등급 이상의 성적을 받아야 합니다.
본 대학의 요구조건을 미치지 못한 학생은 먼저 HPU 의 영어 기본과정 프로그램 (English Foundations Program EFP) 을 이수한 후 아카데믹 과정을 시작해야 합니다.
HPU 가 인정하는 영어 공인 실력 측정 시험 및 커트라인은 다음과 같습니다:
