Rebecca Malak Howell, Michigan
Rebecca is an optimistic, 4th year dancer who absolutely loves dance team! After she saw the HPU Dance Team compete in the 2004 NDA Nationals she knew that when she could, she would be a part of HPU’s team. Rebecca is one of those people who sees what they want and goes for it, no matter what it takes. Her cheerful, encouraging attitude has been noticed from the first day she came to the team. Teammates say she is best known for her signature shout, “Yea dance team.” Rebecca is a senior who is enjoying every minute of being a part of Hawaii’s diverse culture. She is majoring in Public Relations with a minor in Entrepreneurial Studies. Outside of her studies she helps lead the school, as the first dancer to be a part of the Associated Students of Hawai‘i Pacific University (AS-HPU) HPU's undergraduate student government. Rebecca is the President of AS-HPU. In her free time she loves to bake, do puzzles, and watch movies. |

Noe Sasano Honolulu, Hawaii
Noe is a fierce, confident dancer who catches your eye with every performance. The improvement Noe has shown over the last three years is amazing. It is no surprise that she is going to continue to dance after her graduation in December. She wants to learn more, keep improving and hopefully become a teacher/choreographer in the future. She would also like to get a job in her field of Business Management. Noe has this strong determination behind everything she does, which makes her excel in every style of dance given to her. And she definitely knows how to “get down” in Hip Hop! The dance team has really helped Noe become a leader and a good friend. She loves how each year the team comes together to become the best team possible. She said that the friendships she has built on the team are friendships that will last a lifetime.
