This is the premier free law resource on the web. A legal subject index, access to cases and codes, information about law schools, law reviews, and information about legal associations and organizations can all be found on or through this web site. Start you search in the middle column by selecting and issue of interest. FirstGov
The reference section found in FirstGov provides links to numerous government web sites and documents. This web site is easy to use, but it is most useful when looking for specific information.

FedLaw
A compilation of references useful for conducting Federal legal research. Provides subject access to the laws and regulations of the legislative and judicial branches of the Federal government. Includes decisions and documents of the Supreme Court, District Courts, and Bankruptcy Courts.

Internet Law Library
This Web site provides access to basic documents in U.S. Federal law. Allows searching of the U.S. Code. Find presidential or legislative documents and read the text of important speeches and addresses. Also includes information on the laws of other nations, text of treaties, and international law. Legal Information Institute
This site contains the online publications of Cornell Law School's Legal Information Institute. The American Legal Ethics Library includes the codes setting standards for the professional conduct of lawyers on a state by state basis. The Law About pages include brief summaries of law topics with links to key primary source material. Also contains the text of the Uniform Commercial Code and a directory of U.S. law schools.

    GlobaLex
    GlobaLex, from the New York University School of Law, has three main sections: International Law Research (links to information on multinational agreements), Comparative Law Research (a short topical list), and Foreign Law Research (legal systems of countries in an alphabetical list).
