Scholarships for Currently Enrolled Students

  • HPU Scholarship for Continuing Students 

    Description and Eligibility Requirements: HPU students applying for this tuition waiver scholarship, which vary in amounts, must complete two semesters at HPU (24 credits for Undergraduate students or 18 credits for Graduate students), with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.25 and be actively involved in "extra-curricular" activities at the University and/or in the community.
    Scholarship Period: Offered each academic year.
    Deadline: May 1, 2010
    Application Form: Available December 2009

  • American Carpet One Foundation Scholarship 

    Description and Eligibility Requirements: These tuition waiver scholarships are available to students who are members of a Christian faith church in Hawai'i. Applicants must be enrolled as a full-time Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in the College of Business Administration with a 3.00 GPA or be a transfer student (24 college credits) planning to enroll as a full-time, undergraduate student in the College of Business Administration. Applicants must also demonstrate extracurricular involvement in his/her religious community.
    Scholarship Period: Offered each academic year.
    Scholarship Amount: Up to $2,000

  • Antone & Edene Vidinha Trust Scholarship

    Description: Awarded to incoming high school and college transfer students or students currently enrolled at HPU who are from the Island of Kaua'i.
    Minimum Eligibility Requirements: Incoming students must have a minimum cumulative high school or college transfer grade point average (GPA) of 2.75. HPU continuing students must maintain a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.75.
    Scholarship Period: Offered each academic year.
    Scholarship Amount: Up to $2,000

  • Betty G. and J. Gurney Stoebe Scholarship

Description and Eligibility Requirements: HPU students must complete a minimum of 60 credits with junior or senior status as an undergraduate.  HPU graduate students may apply that are either new or continuing.  Minimum GPA is 3.00 for both undergraduate or graduate.  Preference is given to students pursuing a Bachelor of Social Work or a Master of Social Work.
Deadline: December 15, 2009
                  May 15, 2010
Award Period: Spring 2010 (December deadline)
                            Fall 2010 (May deadline)

  • Elisabeth Kehrer Anderson, M.D. - Internship Field Study Award

    Description: This is an opportunity for students to expand their education of marine and environmental science by working closely with professionals who are actively involved in this field study.
    Minimum Eligibility Requirements: This award is being offered to undergraduate science majors enrolled full-time, with preference given to Marine Biology, Oceanography, Environmental Science, and Environmental Studies and will be utilized during the summer and/or winter terms. Applicants must be U.S. or Canadian citizens who have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.50.
    Deadline: May 1, 2010

Note: Each year there are a limited number of HPU scholarships which are partial-tuition waivers. If students qualify for more than one scholarship within the same academic term, they may select the scholarship with the greater value.
