Accreditations
Hawaii Pacific University is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Senier Colleges and Universities of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). The Nursing Programs (BSN and MSN degrees) is approved by the Hawaii Board of Nursing and is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC). The Bachelor of Social Work program is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).

HPU has Associate and bachelor degrees available through NCPDLP in the following disciplines:
Residency Requirements
- Associate Degrees: Students must complete a minimum of 15 semester hours (FIVE Hawaii Pacific University Courses) in residence with HPU. At least six of the 15 hours must be in the Associate degree's concentration.
- Baccalaureate degrees: Students must complete a minimum of 30 semester hours (TEN Hawaii Pacific University courses) in residence with HPU. At least 12 of the 30 semester hours must be in the major or concentration.
- All Online courses count toward residency requirements.

Awarding College Credit
- The University will accept up to 36 hours of non-traditional credit (MOS/RATE, CLEP/DANTES, etc.) toward any Associate degree program.
- HPU will accept up to 36 semester hours of credit earned through CLEP/DANTES or any other type of credit by examination. This policy applies to all HPU Baccalaureate degree programs.
- The student must provide HPU with OFFICIAL transcripts of all courses taken at other institutions. The transcripts will be accepted only if sent directly to HPU from the origninating institution. DD-214s, DD-295s, AARTS, SMART, Coast Guard Institute, or CCAF transcripts may be accepted from the military education services officers.
- Only courses completed at the "C" grade level (2.0 on a 4.0 scale with 4.0= A) or higher will be considered for transfer into HPU degree programs.
- Transfer credits must satisfy specific degee program requirements.
