Paul C.T. Loo and Vi Shaw Loo Scholarship
Description and Eligibility Requirements: This scholarship is awarded to an incoming freshman with at least a 3.50 GPA; or a transfer student with 24 or more transferable credit hours with a minimum 3.30 GPA; or an HPU undergraduate student with a 3.30 GPA. Applicants who are students at HPU must submit a paragraph on what it means to be a part of HPU with reference to involvement in student activities and opportunities offered to the international student community. Preference will be given to students involved in extracurricular student activities and/or community service. In the event the applicants are equally qualified, preference is given to the student with the greater financial need.
Scholarship Value: Up to $1,200

HPU reserves the right to cancel, reduce, or substitute an institutional scholarship. HPU scholarships that pay institutional costs, such as tuition, will be reduced in the case where a student receives other direct tuition benefits from an outside source, such as, but not limited to, VA tuition benefits or employer tuition payments made directly to the institution. Tuition scholarships from all sources cannot exceed the cost of actual tuition, and must meet the terms of the specific scholarship.
