Hawai'i High School Writing Awards Competition
The University annually conducts a statewide writing competition for juniors and seniors attending public and private high schools in Hawai'i.
The subjects for competition pertain to Hawaii's sustainability.
Student-submitted essays must be typed and double spaced with a maximum of five (5) pages. The essays will be judged on originality, analysis, expressiveness, vocabulary and syntax, and the student's ability to defend his/her thesis.
Essays must be received or postmarked no later than: March 4, 2013.
The competition winners receive a cash award funded by the University in the following amounts:

Second Place Winner: $300 |

Third Place Winner: $200 |
