Scholarship Information

HPU offers competitive academic and activity-based scholarship awards to deserving students. These scholarships are awarded largely to incoming freshmen. A number of academic and activity-based scholarships are also awarded to incoming transfer students. Students who have completed two semesters at the University and who are academically qualified may also apply for Hawai'i Pacific University’s merit-based scholarships.

Scholarship information and applications for the 2015-16 academic year will be available in late January.  Please check back later.

Scholarships for Incoming Freshman

  • Description: These tuition waiver scholarships are awarded to full-time, degree seeking, undergraduate freshman applicants.

  • Description: The Hawai'i Pacific University Excellence in Undergraduate Writing Awards annually recognizes outstanding writing assignments completed by undergraduate students.

HPU reserves the right to cancel, reduce, or substitute an institutional scholarship. HPU scholarships that pay institutional costs, such as tuition, will be reduced in the case where a student receives other direct tuition benefits from an outside source, such as, but not limited to, VA tuition benefits or employer tuition payments made directly to the institution. Tuition scholarships from all sources cannot exceed the cost of actual tuition, and must meet the terms of the specific scholarship.
