1. How do I reach the Alumni office?

2. What are the hours the HPU Alumni office is open?

We are typically open Monday–Friday.  
Between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Please note, we occasionally need to close our office to attend a university meeting.
We recommend you call ahead at 1-808-544-0840. 
We are closed on the following holidays:

President’s Day
Spring Break (one day)
Kuhio Day
Good Friday
Memorial Day
Kamehameha Day

3. Where are you located?

4. How do I order an official transcript?

Official transcripts can be ordered online at HPU Registrar's Office
Email the registrar for additional support. 

5. How do I order an unofficial transcript?

Unofficial transcripts can be ordered through the Pipeline system.

If you do not have access to the Pipeline system, please submit a request in writing to the Alumni Office requesting that a pipeline account be established. Your request will be forwarded to out Web Services team.  See number 9 for details below on how to get a e-mail and pipeline account.

6. I never received my diploma.  Who do I need to contact?

Your diploma can be ordered through the Pipeline system (Alumni Tab) or contact the Registrar’s Office.   

If you do not have access to the pipeline system, please submit a request in writing to the Registrar’s Office requesting for your diploma by emailing the Registrar's Office. You may submit your signed written request by mail, fax, or scanned email attachment.

Please include your name at the time of attendance, student ID #, or if you do not have your student ID #, please include your date of birth and the last four digits of your social security number.

7. How do I reorder a diploma?

Your diploma can be ordered through the Pipeline system (Alumni Tab) or contact the Registrar’s Office at

8. Please update my information in the Alumni and University Relations HPU database.

You can update your information with HPU by e-mailing the Alumni and University Relations Office. We appreciate having current information on how to best contact our alumni and what they have been doing since graduation.

9. How do I request an HPU e-mail address?

HPU emails are now available through the Pipeline system.  Go to Pipeline and enter your user name and password.  If it has been longer than a year since you have graduated, your access may have been inactivated.  If this is the case, request that you be reactivated through alumni.hpu.edu. Our HPU staff team will respond to you within one week of this request. If your login credentials are no longer valid, please email the Alumni and University Relations Office and your request will be forwarded to our IT department. Please provide the student e-mail account you are trying to re-activate, your student name, your student ID #, or If you do not have your student ID #, please include your date of birth and the last four digits of your social security number. 

10. I am having trouble accessing my HPU e-mail?

The portal that is used to access HPU e-mail was moved on September 28, 2010. E-mails are now housed on the Pipeline system.  Please go to Pipeline.  Your user name remains the same as does your e-mail address. 

11. I am interested in contacting the HPU alumni chapter coordinator in my area.

12. Where do I go to find out about the HPU alumni chapter events in my area?

13. I would like to start an HPU alumni chapter in my area.

If you are interested in starting a chapter in your area, please contact the Alumni and University Relations Office or complete the application process in our volunteer match site. We will schedule a interview either in  person or through skype.

14. What is the definition of “alumni” at HPU?

Alumni are graduates (AA, BA BS, MA, MSIS) with a diploma. 

15. I have a certificate. Am I considered alumni? Are there any benefits?

We welcome all past students to our chapter events. In addition past students and community members are welcome to opt in to our monthly e-newsletter or electronic version of our HPU Today magazine.

16. I attended a semester of study abroad? Am I considered alumni? Are there any benefits?

17. What if I attended but I didn’t graduate. Are there any benefits?

18. Does HPU have an Alumni Association?

Our current organizational structure is a program or society of chapters rather than an association. We are financially supported and operated by HPU and are a program which supports alumni chapter events globally. We are not a dues-paying organization. When students graduate and receive their diplomas, HPU students are automatically provided with their benefits.

20. I want to nominate or recognize outstanding alumni. What is the process?

HPU honors three graduates each year for accomplishments in three categories at a banquet held on the last Friday in April. Nominations are accepted in January and February.  Nominations are reviewed by a committee of HPU deans and senior administrators and the awardees are announced mid March.  To nominate an HPU graduate for these awards, complete this form.
