New to HPU and interested in being paired with an HPU student to get tips on where to go, what to see in Hawaii and navigating through HPU?

Join HPU’s Language and Culture Program!

Description

The language and culture program is a collaboration of HPU’s International and Study Abroad Centers. It is a volunteer program that matches international students from various countries with HPU students who plan to study abroad or are  interested in world cultures.

There will be an event the first day of class at the Study Abroad Fair, located on Fort Street Mall. Come to the Study Abroad booth!

Expectations

  • Partners are expected to contact one another to agree on a mutual meeting time
  • Meeting locations are chosen by the partners (over lunch on Fort Street Mall, etc). UB 200 can set up tables in the conference room by request. You can also choose to meet over coffee, at the beach or having fun.
  • Minimum of one hour a week
  • Record hours to put as volunteer experience on resumes
