The President's Hosts are a selected and specially recognized group of students who best exemplify the spirit, diversity, and mission of Hawai'i Pacific University. The University is proud to be represented by this group of students at various social and business functions, and other important University events throughout the year.
HPU employees nominate President's Hosts. Nomination forms are available to employees in a variety of mediums. Each University employee is limited to three (3) nominations per year. The next nomination period will be September, 2012. The call for nominations will be sent via Pipeline email/announcement in the fall.
Nomination Eligibility
Nominees must:
- Have and maintain a 2.5 Cumulative GPA and be in good standing with Hawaii Pacific University to be eligible (first and last semester students are excluded from nomination). Graduate and Military Campus Programs students may also be nominated.
- Be active in HPU student life.
- Be well-groomed, articulate, and comfortable in social settings.
Each nominee will be interviewed and recommended to the University's President for selection.
It is both an honor and privilege to be selected as a President's Host; those selected are expected to be ready, willing, and able to represent the University appropriately at a variety of functions.
