Commuter Assistants
Commuter Assistants (CAs) are experienced, diverse students that help incoming freshman, international, and transfer students discover Hawai'i Pacific University! CAs serve as mentors and are a resource providing you with information on topics such as housing, transportation, student life, campus dining, getting involved on campus, academic opportunities and more. In addition CAs hold weekly office hours to answer any of your questions, and assist Commuter Services in planning events to connect fellow commuter students and show HPU pride!
Why do I need a Commuter Assistant?
- A Commuter Assistant can help answer your questions as a peer
- CAs are familiar with Oahu, making them an excellent resource when seeking advice on where to go for your various needs
- Creating a connection with a CA helps you to establish a network with other students before you arrive to Oahu
