Online MBA Leveling Exams

Online MBA Competency Exams

 

Students interested in taking an online MBA Competency Exam must coordinate with a Graduate Advisor before securing a Proctor.

Basic Procedures:

  1. Student secures a proctor and a testing location. Testing is not permitted in the home of the tester or proctor.
  2. The proctor requests authorization to test and proctor instructions by filling out and submitting this form on the HPU website from the HPU Center for Academic Success. Approval may take 3 to 4 business days (not calendar days), please allow for this in your request.

  1. HPU forwards test administration instructions and login to the proctor via e-mail.
  2. The proctor confirms the place and time of the test with the student.
  3. The proctor reviews the instructions with the student before the test is administered. The proctor will receive more detailed instructions when authorized.
  4. The proctor notifies the HPU Center for Academic Success upon completion of the test via e-mail: tutoring@hpu.edu.
  5. Students should be able to register online one to two business days after notification of test completion.

MBA COMPETENCY EXAMS 

  • BUS 5000 – Intro to ECON & Statistical Analysis Proficiency Exam

The exam contains 20 multiple choice questions. Successful completion of this Proficiency Exam may allow MBA candidates to skip BUS 5000. See your graduate advisor for more information and authorization to take this test.

  • BUS 5100 – Intro to ACCT & FIN Proficiency Exam

This exam contains 74 multiple choice questions. Successful completion of this Proficiency Exam may allow MBA candidates to skip BUS 5100. See your graduate advisor for more information and authorization to take this test.

  • BUS 5200 – Intro to MGMT & MKTG Proficiency Exam

This exam contains 60 multiple choice questions. Successful completion of this Proficiency Exam may allow MBA candidates to skip BUS 5200. See your graduate advisor for more information and authorization to take this test.
