What is Serivce Learning

"Service Learning is a teaching and learning strategy that integrates meaningful community service with instruction and reflection to enrich the learning experience, teach civic responsibility, and strengthen communities." (Learn and Serve Clearinghouse)

Moving beyond the campus walls of Hawaii Pacific University to apply knowledge learned in the classroom to real community needs gives students an opportunity to help their community while gaining real world experience.
