Honor Societies

Lambda Pi Eta National Honor Society

Purpose: To recognize, foster, and reward outstanding scholastic achievement; to stimulate interest in the field of communication; and to promote and encourage professional development among communication majors.

Eligible candidates must:

  • Be enrolled full time in the bachelor of science program, majoring in corporate communications, or
  • Be enrolled full time in the bachelor of arts program, majoring in advertising, communication, journalism, multimeida, public relations, speech, or visual communications.
  • Have completed a minimum of 60 credits, 12 of which must be in communication courses.
  • Have a minimum cumulative HPU GPA of 3.0.
  • Have a minimum HPU GPA of 3.25 for all communication courses.
  • Graduate students may continue as members of Lambda Pi Eta if they were previously inducted by a chapter as an undergraduate, or they may be inducted as new members if they would have met the membership qualifications as an undergraduate at an institution which did not have an active chapter of Lambda Pi Eta.

Membership fee of $50 to be paid upon notification of acceptance.
