HONOLULU — Hawai‘i Pacific University General Counsel Janet Kloenhamer has been promoted to executive vice president of Administration, HPU President Geoffrey Bannister announced today.
Kloenhamer will continue in her role as general counsel, but her management portfolio will now also include oversight for auxiliary services (including the Aloha Tower project and the campus bookstore), facilities and planning, human resources, procurement, and personnel and facilities risk management.
Kloenhamer’s extensive operational and executive experience includes service as president of Allianz of America Resolution Services and as senior vice president for the Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company, both in California. She holds law and communications degrees from the University of San Francisco.
Katherine “Kate” Lloyd joins HPU from the Hawai‘i Community Foundation, where she served as general counsel and vice president of Operations since 2000. She previously served as a senior vice president for the Trusts and Investments Division of First Hawaiian Bank and as an attorney in private practice with Ashford & Wriston of Honolulu.
Lloyd, who also lectures at the University of Hawai‘i’s Williams S. Richardson School of Law, is a cum laude graduate of the University of Wisconsin law school and earned a bachelor’s degree with honors from UW-Stevens Point.
Bannister praised Kloenhamer’s leadership at HPU and said her promotion along with Lloyd’s appointment are key to developing further the university’s management infrastructure.
