HPU hosts former head of Israeli military intelligence

HONOLULU — Speaking to a standing-room-only crowd at Hawai‘i Pacific University, Israeli Defense Forces Maj. Gen. Amos Yadlin shared insights on the political climate of the Middle East and the role of intelligence gathering Aug. 23. Yadlin recently completed a five-year tour as head of Israeli military intelligence and is a Kay Fellow on Israeli national security at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy in Washington, D.C. The presentation was co-sponsored by the Department of Social Sciences and Diplomacy and Military Studies Programs, with support from HPU’s National Endowment for the Humanities Challenge Grant.
