HPU Honors Outstanding Faculty and Staff with 2011 Golden Apple Awards

The Golden Apple Awards were given out at the HPU Faculty Assembly meeting on April 29, at Tenney Theatre, St. Andrew's Cathedral. Every year, during this time, the University presents the Golden Apple Awards to outstanding faculty and staff in a variety of categories. Faculty and staff are nominated in March and winners are then selected by a subcommittee of the Faculty Development Policies and Activities Committee of the Assembly.

- Distinguished Teaching by an Adjunct Faculty Member - James Corcoran, Ph.D.
- Distinguished Teaching by an Adjunct Faculty Member - Naiad Wong
- Reflective Use of Technology - Thomas Kohler, Ph.D.
- Excellence in Mentoring - Langley Frissell, Ph.D.
- Excellence in Scholarship - Scott Okamoto, Ph.D.
- Excellence in Scholarship - John Hart, Ph.D.
- Faculty Award for Exceptional Service to Students - Michael W. Dabney
- Staff Award for Exceptional Service to Students - Lei Ana Green
- Staff Award for Exceptional Service to Students - Joan Ishaque
- Staff Award for Exceptional Service to Students - Vivian Kiyonaga
- Staff Award for Exceptional Service to Students - Sanford Low
- Staff Award for Exceptional Service to Students - Sandra Meyer
