HPU Celebrates Global Citizenship at Intercultural Day

Hawai‘i Pacific University celebrated its 27th annual Intercultural Day April 15, at upper Fort Street Mall.
The HPU community and the public enjoyed a colorful parade through downtown Honolulu, interactive exhibit booths featuring home-country attire and educational information, and performances of traditional dances and music from different countries.
Countries and regions represented included the United States, Canada, Jamaica, Malaysia, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Philippines, Vietnam, Latin America, and the Middle East, among others.
The event showcases HPU’s multicultural student body that represents all 50 states and more than 100 countries. Intercultural Day encourages students to share their traditions and customs with the community. For more information, visit www.hpu.edu/intercultural or call (808) 356-5299.
