The New Student's Guide to Registration provides all the necessary information to register for your classes. Follow the four simple steps and your journey to HPU will go more smoothly.
Math and English Placement Tests
Taking a placement test enables us to determine which courses you need in order to progress and succeed in your studies. Students will need to contact their academic advisor to see if they need to take placement tests. Prior to making an appointment for a placement test, you will need the Testing Authorization form from your Academic Advisor. Your Academic Advisor can help you select your courses, but consider these unique options and resources for first-year students.
- Year-Long Writing Communities - These specially designated sections of WRI 1100 offer the opportunity to register for WRI 1200 with the same instructor and classmates in the spring semester.
- Global Learning Program - For freshmen students during the Spring Semester.

Register for Classes with an Academic Advisor
Fill out registration forms, discuss degree programs, choose classes and create a schedule with an Academic Advisor. Academic Advising has numerous resources for students, including How to Register for Classes Online. Appointments, walk-ins, and phone appointments are accepted at both campuses. Online Course Registration Webinars: Join HPU staff online for a LIVE webinar to learn about registration for classes. This session will provide you with an overview of the navigation and tools of HPU Pipeline for course registration. We will show you the necessary steps to review your degree plan, search for available courses and complete your online registration process. Register for a session based on your major by clicking the links below. Then complete the R.S.V.P. form. After you sign up, you will receive instructions via email on how to log onto the session.
