Minor in Gerontology
The Minor in Gerontology is designed to provide the college graduate with health information essential when working with middle aged and older adults. This program is especially important now because of Hawaii's aging population affecting all sectors society. The minor is meant to be useful to a wide range of majors, from journalism and business to arts and humanities.
Students must complete four upper division Health Science courses beyond HS 1000:
HS 3060 Global Aging
HS 3070 Gerontology Theory and Practice
HS 4010 Social Gerontology in Health Science
REL 3007 On Death and Dying
