TEASĀ® Requirement for Spring, 2014
The Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS®) is a computer-administered test consisting of 170 questions, multiple-choice, divided in four sections: Reading, Mathematics, Science, and English.
TEAS® score is one of the requirements for applying to enter Level 1 Clinical Nursing classes. A deadline for this requirement will be set for each semester, and it will be announced on Pipeline as well as in this Web page. The College of Nursing and Health Sciences considers only valid test scores not older than four months from the deadline of the TEAS® requirement. Students may take the TEAS® only 1 time every 4 months (or 121 days). If the elapsed time between two test results is less than 182 days, the first valid test result must be submitted for evaluation. Students who take the test in a location different from HPU must purchase the transfer of their transcript through the ATI Web site, and the College of Nursing and Health Sciences must receive the scores by the set deadline October 1st, 2013.
Attention: All Pre-Nursing and Nursing Students who need to take the TEAS® (Test of Essential Academic Skills) as part of the eligibility process for Spring 2014 Level One Placement (NUR 2950-2971). Cell phones, cameras, calculators, or personal electronic devices are prohibited during the test. Do not bring large purses or backpacks into the testing room.
