To expand members computing knowledge, nurture and sustain a passion for computing, and provide computing expertise to the HPU community.
The purpose of the Computer Club is for anyone at HPU that is interested in computers to get together and talk about computers.Interest in computers can be very broad from, "I like to play Minesweeper sometimes," to, "I like to implement programs in purely functional languages to eliminate memory and I/O side effects."
Applicable to the following student interests:
Computers, programming, gaming, hardware, computer networking, social and professional networking, Linux, Web, security, robotics, etc.
Many of our newer members are interested in gaming (both playing and/or developing) and in hacking. Really though, if you like anything about computers and you want to join, that certainly makes you eligible. Even if you show up one time with a broken computer, we can't guarantee anything, but we'll do our best to help you fix it.
Club/Association News and Announcements:
The Computer Club meets regularly during the fall and spring semesters.Meeting times are typically on Saturdays in the afternoon. Meeting locations vary, but typically occur at the downtown campus, local cafes, or at the Ala Moana Shopping Center.
