The MA TESOL capstone requirement is a one-credit course which students take in their final semester. The objectives of the capstone activity are both educational and evaluative. Students synthesize the information and experiences which they have had in the program and come to a deeper and richer understanding of the field and of their own learning.
The MATESOL capstone has three options: the comprehensive exam, the portfolio, and the project. Further information about these options are provided in the MA TESOL Manual.
