Reverend Dale Burke is the University Chaplain and a professor in the College of Communication.  Burke, who joined the Hawaii Pacific University faculty in 1994, teaches Introduction to Communication Skills, Public Speaking and Non-verbal Communication.

Outside of the classroom, Burke is very involved with the Special Olympics of Hawaii as a coach for swimming, basketball, bowling and soccer.  In 2003 he was chosen to serve as a swim coach for Team USA at the Special Olympics World Games in Dublin, Ireland.

Burke's personal hobbies include tennis, handball, surfing, and riding his motorcycle.
