Polygolot Toastmasters

A chapter of Toastmasters International, an organization that trains its members in the skills to become better leaders and communicators. Members of our club at HPU grow in confidence and effectiveness, building their skills in a fun, supportive, and goal-directed environment, including weekly meetings, training, social activities, and collaborative events with other HPU clubs. In addition, motivated members have unlimited opportunities to grow and learn through networking with other Toastmasters chapters, participating in conferences, volunteering or competing in speech competitions, and taking on leadership responsibilities at levels beyond our club. Sometimes referred to as a "public speaking club," the Toastmasters experience is ideal for building confidence among those who fear speaking in public while providing opportunities to learn and thrive for those who already enjoy it. Students, faculty, staff and alumni are invited to join our weekly meetings to experience this for themselves!
