Lam has been a faculty & administrator at HPU since 1988. Currently, she is the Director of the Travel Industry Management program responsible for the development and marketing of the program. Lam often represents HPU & travels to various part of Asia to conduct seminars, visit partner universities, and participate in education fairs. Courses taught include Introduction to Travel Industry Management; Travel Industry Marketing; Principles of Marketing; Principles of Microeconomics; Principles of Macroeconomics.
Lam also has over 20 years of professional experience in food manufacturing and retailing business with clients from major airlines and hotels. She also conducts training programs and prepares marketing plans for major corporations in Honolulu. Affiliations: Board member of Hawaii Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association; Board member of Academy of Travel and Tourism; Member of Council on Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Education; Member of Hawaii Hotel Association; Member of American Educational Research Association; Vice Chair of Downtown Neighborhood Board.
