In compliance with the "Timely Notice" provisions of the federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act of 1998, Campus Security is giving notice of an act of an incident that occurred at the HPU Downtown Campus.
REPORTED OFFENSE: On 8-19-14 at approximately 1600 hours, a female student was outside of the Downtown Campus Bookstore on Union Mall, between Hotel Street and Bishop Street. The female student was confronted by an unknown male who attempted to talk with the student. The student attempted to walk away but her arm was grabbed by the male.. The student spun away and went home. Upon arriving home, contacted Hawaii Pacific University Downtown Security and informed them what had occurred. The student was not injured.
SUSPECT DESCRIPTION: The male was described as possibly Filipino, late 20s, 5’7”, 165 to 170 lbs., black hair, dark eyes, wearing khaki shorts and possibly a black or dark gray shirt. The male was clean shaven and had no identifying marks which include tattoos.
